Queen Mother

I always start by acknowledging that my mother was not perfect, but she showed me what it truly means to live and die by the cross. She taught me that God is merciful and forgiving of all our shortcomings.

She taught me not to fear and keep my eyes fixed on the cross. Whenever I was anxious about something, she would smile and say, "Anyango, hiyo tu. Mano Yesu oseloyo."

She held my hand through my first C-section, and though she wasn't there for my second or any that might come in the future, I know she is always praying for me.

Now, it's my turn to be a mommy. I am the mother my kids look up to.

To be fearless, wise, and always present. I am blessed to raise nations and future men of valor.

I am blessed to be a Queen Mother.
